2nd annual IU Mini Marathon—Circle of LifeDate: September 8, 2007Saturday, September 8, 2007 marked the 2nd annual IU Mini Marathon—Circle of Life, a not for profit student run corporation whose primary mission is to fund the Bill Z. Littlefield Scholarship for Survivors endowment by hosting a half-marathon at Indiana University. For the second year in a row, Old National Bank has served as their title sponsor. This year, the IU Mini Marathon had a total of 1800 runners and 300 volunteers. The Founder of Circle of Life, Kevin MacCauley, ran the half-marathon this year - his first half-marathon and another original board member, Myles Grote, also finished the race. Old National would like to thank all of the students and volunteers who made this possible and a special thanks to Ryan Risse for his impeccable coordination and foresight of the project. The highlight of packet pick-up was the ONB cash cube and spinning the wheel for prizes; many participants went home winners! After the event, IU Head Basketball Coach Sampson addressed the crowd and the IU basketball team handed out the awards. Click here for a complete listing of winners.
