Old National Gift to Red Cross PricelessOld National Bank made a priceless gift to the Red Cross that will enable the organization to better serve Southwestern Indiana, Illinois and Western Kentucky for years to come. After the largest disaster relief operation in Southwestern Indiana history, the need for additional cots and blankets for shelters was identified. Old National Bank stepped forward and supported a large effort to replenish supplies and increase the Red Cross sheltering capabilities. Old National paid for and shipped 250 cots and 400 blankets to the Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana. The cots will be on hand for any Regional disaster response and can be mobilized to hardest hit areas within minutes. These areas include Southwestern Indiana, Illinois and Western Kentucky. Associates from Old National bank unloaded and organized the supplies for the Red Cross last Thursday. "We are so grateful to Old National Bank for realizing the need we have and responding in such a huge way," Red Cross Executive Director Matt Bertram said. "This gift will mean we can better serve more people in our community when they need help the most."
