Old National offers new Southern Illinois University check card

Old National Bank has partnered with Southern Illinois University to offer SIU alumni, students, fans and friends an exclusive opportunity to have their own Saluki Check Card.

“This is a great opportunity for Old National as Southern Illinois’s community bank to partner with all loyal Saluki fans,” said Jeff Speith, Region President. “Old National locations are very near the SIU campus and this region bleeds Saluki maroon, so we’re excited about the ability to provide this unique opportunity to our Old National clients.” – Speith said.

The SIU Check Card can be used like any check card and is accepted anywhere VISA is accepted. The card is immediately available by contacting any Old National banking center. Clients with existing check cards tied to their Old National checking account can transfer to the new SIU Check Cards.

Old National has long enjoyed a partnership with SIU that dates back many decades. The partnership was deepened when, in 2006, Old National made a $200,000 contribution to the Saluki Way campaign for the new football stadium. The partnership has grown and matured into this significant relationship. “We're looking at this as an opportunity to give fans a chance to show their Saluki Pride anytime they pay for anything - giving them a sense of pride in their school and in their bank,” said Speith.

This is the second University check card partnership; the first was announced with Indiana University in August 2008.
