Champion for CommunityBob Hall, Northern RegionVolunteering, raising money and motivating others
Says Alex Strati, Northern Region President, “Bob has been a driving force in motivating both bank and insurance associates to increase their volunteerism. He has also been the impetus behind successful fundraisers for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Junior Achievement.” As a Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana volunteer (JANI), Bob has served as a board member and has volunteered annually for the capital campaign. For the past five years, Old National Bank and Old National Insurance in Fort Wayne have joined forces to be a top-five fundraising company for Junior Achievement, and Bob has been a top-five individual fundraiser. For the 2011-2012 campaign, the Old National team raised $12,000, finishing third of more than 20 teams. Individually, Bob finished second, raising $9,500. His service to Big Brothers Big Sisters has included being a “big” for the past five years, and serving on the board as president, treasurer and director. He is also currently serving on an advisory committee. Says Bob, “Both agencies are very strong locally. Big Brothers Big Sisters has over 1,800 matches. And JANI will serve more than 95,000 students in 25 northeastern Indiana counties this year. Both agencies impact our community’s youth, which ultimately impacts their personal lives, families and our community as a whole. I feel confident, and have seen firsthand, how time spent makes a difference in a child’s life – that’s what is important.” Bob's other volunteer activities:
