Environmental Sustainability

Reducing our impact on the environment.

Old National strives to continuously improve our environmental performance and initiate additional projects and activities to reduce our impacts on the environment. 

We have formed an Environmental Task Force or "Green Team,” with associate representatives from across our regions and business lines. This team evaluates our current environmental-friendly practices and identifies other initiatives and strategies to be incorporated. They also developed the following Old National Environmental Policy Statement.

We are committed to:

• Actively promote recycling among our associates and clients;
• Educate our associates about our environmental practices and empower them to contribute and participate;
• Comply with all applicable environmental regulations;
• Communicate our environmental commitment and efforts to our clients, associates and our community;
• Partner with nonprofit organizations and businesses in our communities to help provide and promote environmental programs and awareness;
• Continually improve by striving to measure our environmental impacts and setting goals to reduce these impacts each year.

Janet Heldt Baas, Diversity and Work Life Director, who heads the task force says, “We're always striving to learn more about green practices throughout our footprint, whether by our own associates or at other local and regional companies, to identify initiatives we can implement throughout our company. These can range from promoting e-statements and turning off lights to installing energy efficient heating and cooling systems."
 

GreenOvation Award

For the past two years, Old National Bank's environmental commitment was recognized with a GreenOvation Award from Keep Evansville Beautiful in Evansville, Ind. Old National was honored in the top category - Award of Excellence. This level denotes progressive and assertive leaders in beautification and conservation.
