Answers to questions about your transition from Bank of America to Old National Bank

If you were a Bank of America customer who has now become an Old National client, you should have already received a welcome mailing with important information about the transition of your account(s). In addition, if you used Bank of America online banking and bill pay, you will have received information in the mail about these services. Please review the information you have received from us carefully.

Account Changes

How has my account changed now that it has moved to Old National?

The welcome packet and in some cases letters you received explained any changes you can expect related to your account. The welcome packet includes a guide that shows your company's former Bank of America account(s) and your new, corresponding Old National one(s). If you did not receive a welcome packet and want to obtain one, please call 1-866-672-8111. 

We also invite you to visit the business banking section of this web site to find out more about your new account and other services we offer. If you have questions, please talk with your Old National relationship manager, visit an Old National banking center or call 1-866-672-8111.

Has my account number or routing number changed?

Due to differences in bank computer systems, some account numbers have changed. If your number did change, you should have received a letter with your new account number and additional information. 

It is important to note that your bank routing number (the nine-digit code that identifies a financial institution) has changed. Old National Bank's routing number is 086300012.

New Checks

Has the transfer of my account to Old National affected my checks?

If you were actively using checks on your business account at Bank of America, you should have received a letter with information on ordering complimentary Old National checks of your choice through limited-time, special offers. Our Free Business Check Pack offer includes 150 three-to-a-page business checks with stub, binder, bill keeper, deposit tickets and an endorsement stamp – a $100 value. Or, if you prefer, you can choose to take $100 off any of the other business check products in the Business Solutions brochure which was enclosed with the letter. If you did not receive this letter, please contact your relationship manager or call our Client Care team at 1-866-672-8111.

Any Bank of America checks you still have will be accepted through October 1, 2013. Please do not destroy your old Bank of America checks until you have received your new Old National ones.

ATM/debit cards

How has the transfer of my account affected my ATM or debit card? Has my PIN (Personal Identification Number) changed?

Your business should have received a new card from Old National in late-June with a new card number. You should have also received a new PIN in a separate mailer. You should be using your new Old National card and have cut up your Bank of America card, as it will no longer be accepted at ATMs or for purchases. If you did not receive this letter, please contact your relationship manager or call our Client Care team at 1-866-672-8111.

What should I do if I did not receive my debit card pin?

If you misplaced or did not receive your new PIN number, please visit your nearest Old National banking center to reset the PIN number on your new debit card. This will give you immediate access to your card with the new PIN number.

You can also contact Old National Client Care to request that a PIN reminder be mailed to you. It takes 3-5 business days for your PIN to arrive by mail.

How can I change my debit card PIN to something I am more familiar with?

There are several ways you can change your Old National debit card PIN. You may visit any Old National banking center to change your PIN, which will give you immediate access to your card with the new PIN number.  If you have the PIN number that we assigned, you may also change the PIN number through any Old National ATM.

In addition, you can call our Client Care Center at 1-866-672-8111 to request that a PIN reminder be mailed to you. The PIN reminder will be mailed to the address currently showing on your account, which takes 3-5 business days to arrive by mail.

Cash Management

What do I need to know concerning the transfer of my Cash Management services?

An Old National relationship manager should have contacted you about the transition
of any Cash Management services to Old National. If you have Cash
Management questions, please contact your relationship manager or call
1-800-844-1720, option 1.

Deposit Availability

If I make a deposit, how soon will it be available to cover checks or
other transactions?

At Old National, the availability of your deposits may be different than what you experienced at Bank of America. The following information explains when your deposits will be available to you as of July 13, 2013.

Checks drawn on another bank - Deposits made with checks drawn on a bank other than Old National (if there are no holds placed on the checks), when made by the close of business, will not be available until the next business day. This means these funds will not be available to cover checks or other debits being processed that night.1 This is different than what you may have experienced at Bank of America.

Checks drawn on Old National Bank - Deposits made with checks drawn on Old National Bank (if there are no holds placed on the checks), when made by the close of business, will be credited to your account and have same day availability to cover checks or other debits being processed that night.2

Cash and electronic deposits (such as direct deposit of payroll checks, Social Security or other government checks) - All available same day of deposit.

Overdraft protection

Did my Bank of America overdraft protection automatically transfer to
Old National?

If you used a Bank of America savings or checking account for overdraft protection, and this account moved to Old National, you do not need to do anything to continue this service. It automatically transferred to Old National.

If you had a Bank of America loan, credit card or a deposit account not transferring from Bank of America attached to your business checking account for overdraft protection, this service will be discontinued.

Automatic deposits and payments

Have my automatic deposits and payments transferred to Old National?

Old National and Bank of America worked to ensure a smooth transition of these types of services; however, there are steps we ask you to take. This change in banks resulted in a new routing number (the nine-digit code that identifies a financial institution) for your account. The Old National routing number is 086300012.

You should have contacted recipients of automatic payments made from your accounts, or sources of automatic deposits into your accounts, to ensure they are using Old National’s routing number with your Old National account number. Taking this extra step will help to ensure that your deposits and payments continue without interruption.

Business Online Banking and Bill Pay

Has my business online banking information automatically transferred to
Old National?

While your account information automatically transferred to Old National online banking, the names of employees you had authorized to use your Bank of America business online banking did not. In mid-May, you should have received a letter and user form with a request that you complete and return the form by June 1, 2013. If you sent this form as requested, it enabled us to set up your access to Old National Online BusinessPartner as of July 15. If you did not receive this letter and form or have questions, please contact your relationship manager or our Client Care team at 1-866-672-8111.

Did my online bill pay payees automatically transfer to Old National’s service following the transition?

If you used Bank of America online banking and bill pay for your business account(s), your payee information automatically transferred to Old National as of Monday,
July 15, 2013. However, in mid-May you should have received a letter and user form with a request that you designate one user as your Business BillPay Administrator. We requested that this form be completed and returned by June 1, 2013. If you sent this information as requested, it enabled us to set up your access to Old National Online BusinessPartner and Business BillPay as of July 15. If you have not submitted this form, please do so. If you have questions, please contact our Client Care team at 1-866-672-8111.

Mobile Banking

Will I be able to sign up for mobile banking at Old National?

We are currently working to offer Mobile Banking in the near future and will communicate with you as soon as it is available.

Locations

Where can I find Old National banking centers?

Old National has more than 170 banking centers in Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kentucky and now Southwestern Michigan. The locator tool on our web site provides maps, directions and hours for all of our current locations.

Have the phone numbers changed at Old National banking centers that were formerly Bank of America?

Yes, the phone numbers have changed, but the old numbers will continue to work for a period of time. You can find the new phone number for each banking center through our locator tool on this site. Another option is to call our Client Care team at 1-866-672-8111, and they will be happy to forward you to the appropriate banking center.

Can I still use the same local ATMs following the transition?

Yes, you can continue to use ATMs at the Bank of America branches that have now become Old National. Your new debit or ATM card will also be welcome at more than 200 Old National ATMs. To find a current list of our ATMs, use our locator tool. Please note that free use of the Alliance ATM network will not be available with your Old National card.

FDIC Coverage

What should I know about FDIC coverage on my new Old National
deposit account?

Accounts that are currently FDIC insured will continue to be insured as
described here.

  • Checking, savings and money market accounts that transferred from Bank of America to Old National will be insured separately by the FDIC, up to applicable limits through January 12, 2014.
  • CDs and IRAs that transferred from Bank of America will be separately insured, by the FDIC, up to applicable limits until the earliest maturity date after January, 12, 2014. 
  • CDs that mature prior to January 12, 2014, and are renewed for the same term and in the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest), continue to be separately insured until the first maturity date after January 12, 2014. 
  • CDs that are renewed on any other basis will be separately insured only until January 12, 2014.

Incoming wire transfers

Please notify the sender of any incoming wire transfers of your new wire transfer instructions and Old National’s bank routing number 086300012 to ensure they are processed and posted to your accounts. As of July 13, 2013, Bank of America will return incoming wire transfers to the sender for accounts that have been transferred to Old National Bank.

Associates

Will I be able to work with the same bankers and tellers?

Yes, you will receive the same personalized service from the familiar faces you know and trust.

Saturday 9am – 4pm ET.

1. May be longer if extended hold is needed; however, the first $200 of your deposit may be available on the first business day following your deposit.

2. Deposits of this type made at an ATM prior to daily cutoff time are credited to your account and available to cover checks or other debits being processed that night.
