Picture of Corliss Garner Here at Old National Bank, we firmly and collectively believe that having a diverse workforce that thrives in an inclusive workplace is a powerful differentiator that will help us achieve success for years to come. We also believe that recognizing and celebrating diversity in all its forms – including diversity of thought, backgrounds and experiences – has the power to drive innovation and create better outcomes for our business, communities, clients and team members.

With more than 30 years in banking, I find myself leading this work in part because of the various ways diversity, equity and inclusion have shown up in my life. In my early years, I went from being very comfortable in a small, homogeneous educational environment to thriving in a very large, diverse setting. My career in banking has been a winding road, with many diverse experiences in various lines of business and functions, and being included in unique opportunities to lead in many community roles. All of those experiences and more have contributed to this moment of integrating this important work into our core values and our business strategy.

Championing diversity, equity and inclusion, within our company and in the communities we serve, is more than just an organizational priority for Old National. As a strong, dedicated corporate citizen, we view this work as our responsibility. We also recognize that our stakeholders have increased expectations for transparency and accountability, and we are refining our strategy and frameworks to meet these expectations.

Here is what Old National’s ongoing commitment to DEI looks like:
  • We will continue to build on the strong foundation and culture that have been established over many years.
  • With more than 4,000 team members spanning seven states, we will continue to create opportunities for ALL members of our employee family to learn from the rich diversity across our company to better connect with our clients and each other.
  • We will strive to build a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
  • We will empower our team members and leverage our assets to uplift and support communities in need.
