About Old National Sponsorships

Q: What is the difference between a Sponsorship and a Foundation Grant?
Sponsorships are monetary contributions given in support of events or activities in exchange for advertising and/or publicity. Sponsorships provide a direct benefit to ONB.

Foundation Grants are provided to IRS designated 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations. Grants are charitable donations used to fund programs and/or projects that are large in scope and impact. Grants do not provide a direct benefit to ONB.

Q: Are organizations required to have a 501(c)(3) designation in order to apply for a Sponsorship?
A: Nonprofits applying for a Sponsorship are not required to be exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

Q: What is the deadline for submitting a Sponsorship application?
A: Old National Bank accepts Sponsorship applications year round.

Q: Ideally, when should I submit an application?
A: Applications are accepted at any time, but in order to allow adequate time to be reviewed, we would like to be in receipt of applications 30 days prior to the event date.

Q: When will a decision be made?
A: A decision will be rendered on all Sponsorship applications within 30 days. Applicants will be notified of a decision via email, phone or letter.

Q: How many times per year can I apply for a Sponsorship?
A: You may apply as many times as you wish.

Q: I do not have all of the required documents in an electronic format. How do I submit them?
