Fort Wayne, Ind. (January 30, 2017) – Old National Bank (NASDAQ: ONB) is pleased to name Dan Doan as Fort Wayne Region President. He will retain his responsibilities as CEO of Old National’s Central Super Region, which includes Northeast, Northwest and Northern Regions. Doan will replace Wendell Bontrager who is leaving to serve as president of Equity Bank in Wichita, Kansas.
Doan began his banking career in 1977 at First Citizens Bank, in Greencastle, which was later acquired by Old National in 1985. He is an experienced region president, having served Old National in that capacity in Bloomington, twice in Greencastle, Indianapolis, Mishawaka and Terre Haute. In 2013, Doan was named Old National’s Leader of the Year. Doan earned his bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and his MBA from Indiana State University. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Doan has been very active in the Old National communities in which he has lived and is looking forward to getting involved in the Fort Wayne community. He has served on the board of directors for the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, and is a previous board member for the Notre Dame Snite Museum and the Fischoff National Music Chamber Association. He has also served on the board of the Methodist Hospital Foundation, Japan American Society of Indiana and Indiana State Board of Depositories. He is past president of the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation, Putnam Co. Economic Development Corporation, and Bloomington and Greencastle Chambers of Commerce.
