Rodney Hare has more than four decades of experience in the banking and financial industry – a career he chose because he is passionate about helping families navigate their personal paths to achieve financial success. As Market Executive over the St. Louis region for 1834, a division of Old National Bank, Rod will grow and lead a team of financial professionals whose focus is delivering holistic, integrated wealth management services to high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals through family office styled practices.

Rod joined Old National Bank because he is a collaborator at heart and whole-heartedly believes in Old National’s “one bank” approach. He prides himself on truly understanding a client’s unique needs and goals – and then bringing the right team members from wealth – and across the bank – to the table to help the client build and preserve their wealth.

Rod’s career highlights include:

  • Served as the Colorado and New Mexico Market Leader for a top 5 national bank. Prior to that, he served as a senior Vice President over the St. Louis-based Private Wealth Management group at the same bank.
  • Launched and managed his own institutional asset management firm.
  • Served as Market Director for three major wealth management firms.

Rod earned his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.

Passionate about his community, Rod is an active philanthropist and volunteer wherever he lives. In the past, he has served on the board of directors of Mile High United Way, Join Hands ESL, Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis, AMICUS, Minnesota Orchestra Association, American Lung Association and North Hennepin Community College Foundation. As he moves back to the St. Louis area from Denver, he is looking forward to re-engaging with some of his favorite causes there.

Outside of work, Rod enjoys doing life with his wife of 41 years, riding motorcycles, reading mystery novels, grilling and smoking meats, golfing, cycling and taking road trips.
