Christina Schwab – 2025 Volunteer of the Year

While Old National had over 2,700 team members volunteering last year across 10 states, we annually recognize one volunteer whose passion for community and commitment to serving others sets them apart. This year that honor went to Christina Schwab, a Relationship Banker located in Bloomington, Ind.

Christina logging more than 400 community volunteer hours in 2025, with her volunteerism centering on her passion for the Girl Scouts, where she is a fourth-generation scout and troop leader. Her community involvement also included organizing CPR and first-aid certification events, supporting school and county initiatives, leading financial literacy classes, participating in local chamber and nonprofit events, and volunteering with programs such as the Reality Store, where students learn firsthand how to budget and plan for real-life expenses.

“Christina brings the best of herself to Old National and our communities by living out her values every day,” said Old National Chairman and CEO Jim Ryan. “We are so grateful for her work, and the love, care, and support she gives so generously to positively affects others and makes those around her better.

Reflecting on her volunteerism with Girl Scouts, Schwab says, “Girl Scouts has offered so much for all of the girls in my family, and I want to continue that for others. We’ve been able to do things many would never be able to do otherwise — travel, hands-on learning, and experiences that truly change how girls see themselves and their futures.”

On a Girl Scouts outing last year, Schwab led an aviation and engineering event in partnership with the Monroe County Airport where the Girl Scouts explored airplanes, helicopters, drones, toured the airport tower, and heard directly from aviation professionals.

As part of the Old National Volunteer of the Year recognition, Schwab receives $1,000 to donate to the charity of her choice, choosing her Girl Scout troop to support a planned 2028 trip to Europe.

“You can see the passion come through when Christina is involved in the community,” said Anna Caroline Mullis, Old National Banking Center Manager in Bloomington. “She’s incredibly selfless and always focused on giving people, especially young girls, choices and opportunities. That same mindset shows up in how she serves clients every day.”
