Celebrating Legacy, Empowering Futures: Creating Impact on Affordable Housing

As Old National celebrates 190 years of strength and stability, we serve our clients and community partners by providing financial solutions to individuals, families and businesses while also investing in the places we call home. Our partnership with the Spanish Coalition for Housing (SCH) is just one example of the important outcomes we can create by working collaboratively to address the most important issues within our communities.

Impact through Action

Spanish Coalition for Housing (SCH) has served the affordable housing needs of the Chicagoland region for more than 53 years, providing homeownership counseling, financial education, advocacy and building generational wealth.

This eight-year partnership thrives through our shared mission to support communities by creating affordable housing and providing financial education for more than 5,000 families annually throughout our Chicagoland communities.

We partner with SCH housing counselors to offer homebuyer education classes throughout the year, and sponsor and participate in their annual Homebuyer Expo, Camino A Su Casa. We also have the opportunity to further support SCH’s existing collaborations around the Chicago area.

To drive meaningful action from our homebuyer education classes, we present valued Old National resources including our Down Payment Assistance and Home Manager Program. There’s growing demand for accessible capital in the Chicago area, and we’re committed to promoting affordable financial products and expanding opportunities.

Looking Ahead: Building Stronger Communities and Expanding Conversation

It’s exciting to see this partnership expand as we help advance conversation around racial and economic equity in Chicago. With support and strong interest from elected officials, nonprofit leaders and new partners, Old National is proud to convene diverse voices, to break down barriers and spark collaboration.

These gatherings create space for open dialogue, shared learning and new ideas—conversations that can lead to new partnerships and large-scale change. By fostering these connections, we’re striving to build a more inclusive and empowered community.

As we celebrate our 190th anniversary, we honor and thank our dedicated partners. Together, we are united in our commitment to investing in the communities we live in and call home.
