How Old National Bank Invests $13.6M in the Midwest, Southeast Communities We Call Home

At Old National Bank, community investment is more than a commitment, it is a responsibility.

Across the Midwest and Southeast, Old National works to strengthen local communities through philanthropic giving, community development financing, volunteerism, and strategic partnerships that help create opportunity and economic growth. Because when the community is stronger, we’re all stronger.

Investing in neighborhoods and community non-profits

One of the most visible ways Old National supports its communities is through direct financial investment. In 2025 alone, the bank provided $13.6 million in sponsorships to community partners, helping nonprofit organizations and local initiatives expand their impact and serve more individuals and families. These partnerships create pathways to stronger neighborhoods, greater economic mobility, and improved quality of life.

A key driver of community revitalization is Old National’s Community Equity team. Since 2015, the team has committed more than $625 million in equity funding to projects representing more than $1.2 billion in total development costs. Through expertise in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and State Tax Credits, these investments have helped revitalize neighborhoods, preserve historic properties, expand affordable housing options, and create or retain more than 6,000 jobs in distressed areas.

The Old National Bank Foundation and ‘Choose Your Charity’

The Old National Bank Foundation also plays an important role in strengthening communities. In 2025, the foundation invested $3.68 million in grants to 229 nonprofit organizations. Notably, 98% of those grants supported Community Reinvestment Act-eligible initiatives, while 72% benefited underrepresented communities.

Funding focused on key areas includes:

  • Affordable housing
  • Workforce development
  • Economic development
  • Financial empowerment

Earlier this year, Old National celebrated its growth in Tennessee through its “Choose Your Charity” campaign, awarding $190,000 to 22 nonprofits across the state. Community members voted online to determine recipients, helping deepen local engagement while supporting organizations making a difference in their communities.

Investing in organizations that move the needle

Old National’s long-standing partnerships demonstrate how meaningful relationships can create lasting impact:

  • In Indiana, Old National supports the Evansville Rescue Mission through lending, philanthropy, volunteer service, and board leadership.
  • In the Upper Midwest, its partnership with CommonBond Communities helps preserve affordable housing while supporting educational and advancement programs for residents.
  • In the Chicago area, Old National works alongside the Spanish Coalition for Housing to promote housing equity, financial education, and sustainable homeownership opportunities.

Together, these investments, partnerships, and volunteer efforts reflect Old National’s belief that thriving communities are built through sustained commitment. By investing financial resources, expertise, and leadership, Old National continues to help communities across its footprint grow stronger today while creating opportunities for the future.
