Old National Named to The Civic 50 for Building Stronger Communities Where We Work and Live

At Old National, community is more than a place. It is the purpose behind everything we do.

That purpose is reflected in our recognition as part of The Civic 50, an honor from Points of Light that highlights the Top 50 companies in the U.S. leading the way in social impact and community engagement. For us, this recognition is not just about the honor itself. It is about the real, measurable impact our teams make in the communities we serve every day.

Better Together Days

Across our footprint, that impact comes to life through the actions of our team members. Through initiatives like Better Together Days, employees step into their communities to support local nonprofits, complete hands-on service projects, and build meaningful connections. In 2025 alone, more than 2,100 team members volunteered nearly 8,000 hours during this two-day effort, supporting non-profit organizations across the communities we serve.

“Community engagement is not separate from our business. It is part of who we are,” said Kathy Schoettlin. “It comes to life through our team members, who bring their time, talents, and passion to the organizations and causes that strengthen our communities. Their commitment reflects the purpose we share at Old National: to build stronger, more connected communities together.

A sustained commitment to volunteering

That spirit continues year-round. Old National empowers team members with dedicated volunteer time and opportunities to serve through both one-time events and ongoing leadership roles with nonprofit organizations. This is not occasional involvement. It is a sustained commitment to showing up and making a difference.

Our impact is also strengthened through the Old National Bank Foundation, which partners with organizations focused on affordable housing, workforce development, economic mobility, and financial empowerment. Through grants, sponsorships, and long-term partnerships, we help expand access to opportunity and invest in the long-term health of our communities. In 2025, Old National contributed more than $13 million in grants and sponsorships, supporting thousands of nonprofit organizations across our footprint.

“Through the Old National Bank Foundation, we are able to invest in organizations that are creating lasting change in the communities we serve,” said Old National Bank Foundation President Joe Kiser. “Our giving is focused on expanding opportunity, strengthening local partnerships, and supporting the work that helps individuals, families, and neighborhoods thrive.”

Stay tuned to Old National social media channels this summer, when the bank will debut a community-building campaign to recognize the 20th anniversary of the Old National Bank Foundation.

Altogether, these efforts reflect a holistic approach to community engagement, combining volunteerism, philanthropic investment, and strong community partnerships. This integrated model aligns closely with Points of Light’s mission to inspire and mobilize people to create meaningful change.

The Civic 50 recognition as this year’s Financial Sector Leader is meaningful, but more importantly, it reflects the culture our team members bring to life every day. As we look ahead, we remain focused on strengthening our partnerships, deepening our impact, and continuing to show up for the communities we call home.
