    1. What is the difference between Card Controls and Automated Fraud Monitoring?

Both Card Controls and Automated Fraud Monitoring help to protect you from fraudulent activity on your debit card and account.

Card Controls give you direct control within Online Banking or the Mobile App. You are able to select the types of alerts you want to receive, set spending limits, decline transactions and more.

Automated Fraud Monitoring is a service Old National debit card holders are automatically enrolled in. If we ever suspect that your card is being used by someone other than you, we’ll send you a real-time text alert, email or phone call and ask for your confirmation. Based on your response, we can immediately shut down your card if necessary. If you prefer, you can opt out of Automated Fraud Monitoring alerts.

Both Card Controls and Automated Fraud Monitoring are free services, and together they provide a double layer of protection for your account and debit card.

    2. What is the "Pending" transaction in my Digital Banking transaction history?

When you see “Pending" transactions in your Digital Banking history, it can represent two different types of activities on your account:

      ATM or Debit Card Transactions
This "Pending" transaction could be a recent ATM or Debit Card transaction that has not yet posted to your account. For example, it could be an ATM withdrawal or a Debit Card purchase you made from a merchant. You will be able to see specific details, such as the name of the store where you made a purchase, after the transaction has posted to your account.

      Certain Deposits
A "Pending" transaction can also be a recent deposit which has checks or other items from a bank other than Old National and are, therefore, not available for you to immediately withdraw. This type of transaction will show under "Pending," as both a deposit and as a withdrawal, until Old National collects the funds from the other bank. Once these funds are collected, they will become part of your available balance and will no longer show as a withdrawal on your account. This could be as soon as the next business day after your deposit is made, but in some instances it may be longer.

To obtain additional details about "Pending" transactions, you can contact Client Care at 1-800-731-2265.

    3. What is a secured credit card?

A secured credit card is a special type of credit card that allows users with no credit (or poor credit) to build (or repair) their credit score.

It works like this: The cardholder puts down a cash deposit as collateral to “secure” the card. The amount of cash put down is typically the cardholder’s credit limit. The cardholder then uses the card normally and their activity is reported to credit agencies, as it would be for any credit card.

As a result, the cardholder has the opportunity to build (or repair) their credit by making regular, on-time payments, among other things.

At Old National Bank, we offer two secured credit card options.

    4. What is a notice of error regarding the servicing of my loan?

A notice of error is a written notice from you that details error(s) you believe have been made relating to the servicing of your loan. Your notice must include:

      • Your name
      • Your loan number and/or property address associated with the loan
      • Details about the specific error you are disputing and/or information you are requesting

Only errors related to the servicing of your loan secured by your home are covered through this process (excluding open-ended lines of credit).

    5. What if a COVID-19 stimulus payment is sent to an Old National account that is closed or overdrawn?

      Closed Accounts
If the IRS sends your Economic Impact Payment via direct deposit to an Old National account you have closed, we unfortunately do not have access to those funds. The IRS advises people that if they don't receive their Economic Impact Payment, they should file their 2020 tax return electronically and claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their tax return to get their payment and any refund as quickly as possible.

      Overdrawn Accounts
If the IRS direct deposits your stimulus payment into an Old National account that is currently overdrawn, and you want to use these funds to bring your account back to a positive balance, there’s nothing you need to do.

If having these funds go toward your negative balance will create a hardship for you, please contact us at 1-800-731-2265, Option 6.

    6. What is mortgage pre-qualification?

Mortgage pre-qualification enables you to begin the application process and gain helpful information even before you start looking at homes.

With pre-qualification, you’ll know how large of a mortgage you can may qualify for, which means you’ll know what pricepoint you’ll be looking in. You’ll know your spending limit, and will also be a more attractive buyer to sellers (because they will know you’ll be able to receive the financing you need to buy the property).

While pre-qualification isn't actual approval, it can help speed up the approval process when you find the perfect home. Getting pre-qualified is quick and easy, and you can have an answer in minutes.

Talk to a mortgage expert about getting pre-qualified.

      • Awkward greeting or salutation
      • Typos
      • Incorrect grammar
      • Strange or unfamiliar links

      • Don't reply
    10. Where can I find the phone number or email to contact a branch manager?

Banking center manager names and emails can be found on each banking center's page. The page will also provide the banking center phone number.

To find your local banking center's page, go to our locator. In the Search box, enter the branch address (as much as you know), city and state. In the list of banking centers on the right, click on the banking center you are looking for.

This will take you to that banking center's dedicated page. On the left of that page, you will see the banking center manager's name and a link to send an email.
